Chris Brown’s Email: Disinvitation to 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

Singer hints at sponsor conflict as reason for exclusion from prestigious event.

Chris Brown has revealed that he was unexpectedly excluded from participating in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. The highly anticipated NBA All-Star Weekend commenced in Indianapolis, Indiana, featuring a Celebrity Game, for which Brown says he was initially invited. In the early hours of Saturday morning, the 34-year-old singer took to Instagram, sharing screenshots of alleged correspondence from event organizers, detailing the event’s logistics and attire. Brown hinted that sponsor concerns, particularly from Ruffles, may have led to his exclusion.

Expressing his frustration, Brown stated, “I was asked by the NBA to play in the all-star game this year! Only for them to call later and say they couldn’t do IT because of their sponsors like RUFFLES.” He further lamented ongoing intrusions into his life, declaring, “At this point I’m sick of people bothering me and I’m tired of living in the fucking past. I POSTED THE EMAILS SO YALL COULD SEE.”

Brown firmly declined any suggestion of attending as a spectator, asserting, “The NBA still was tryna get me to come and sit court side… NOT F****** HAPPENING,” and emphasized, “I ONLY GO WHERE IM APPRECIATED.”

It’s worth noting that Pepsico, the parent company of Ruffles, sponsored the recent Chris Brown and Friends concert held last August 27 at the National Stadium. The concert was part of the “Blast Your JamaICAN Flava” campaign, encouraging Jamaicans to embrace their culture and celebrate what makes Jamaica unique. Pepsi Cola Jamaica remains committed to supporting Jamaica’s arts and culture.
