Ice Spice’s Former Friend Leaks Explosive Texts

Cleotrapa exposes private texts, sparking drama.

On Monday evening (September 2), rapper and influencer Cleotrapa took to TikTok to launch a five-part video series, calling out Ice Spice, a Harlem rapper, for their alleged falling out. Cleo claimed that Ice Spice invited her on tour not out of friendship but to rebuild her image after another former friend exposed the rapper for talking badly about people, including Cleo and Nicki Minaj.

In the TikTok videos, Cleotrapa shared screenshots of text messages exchanged with Ice Spice, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston. The messages reportedly showed Ice Spice being passive-aggressive and dismissive of Cleotrapa’s complaints during the #Y2KTour. According to Cleo, Ice Spice “uses me for her rollouts” and other promotions. She added, “We never chilled on some real friend stuff—it was always in the blogs the next day, right before her song dropped.”

Cleotrapa said she decided to speak out because fans deserve to know who Ice Spice really is behind the scenes. Becoming emotional, Cleo accused Ice Spice of being “intimidated” by her confidence. She added that while she can forgive misunderstandings, “You actually have one time to show me that you are jealous, intimidated, untrustworthy, fake, disloyal, ingenuine, manipulative, and calculated.”

Cleo also revealed that Ice Spice only gave her a day’s notice to prepare for the tour, promising they would stay together and that all expenses would be covered. However, Cleo wasn’t officially listed on the tour and claimed that Ice Spice never promoted the flyer she created. She also mentioned that she was forced to perform before the concert's official start time.

Cleotrapa Claims “Everything Changed” After Confronting Ice Spice

According to Cleo, the first few days of the tour were “cute,” but things took a turn after she confronted Ice Spice about an incident involving security refusing to carry her bags. Following this, Cleo said she was mistreated by Ice Spice and her team, recalling several tour mishaps. She mentioned being stuck in bathrooms due to a lack of dressing rooms, having to pay for her hotel rooms until Ice Spice’s hairdresser let her stay with her, and being told she wasn’t in the budget—even being denied a chicken salad.

On one occasion, Cleo found a bag she left in Ice Spice’s dressing room placed outside, later discovering $700 charged to her credit card. In another incident, Cleo hinted at Ice Spice’s rumored relationship with her producer, Riot.

The drama surfaced after fans noticed Cleotrapa unfollowed Ice Spice on Instagram, leading to speculation that Ice had ditched her friend as soon as she secured the tour bag. However, Cleo clarified that she was never paid, stating, “I was played, betrayed & unpaid.” She explained, “I never had a problem with not being paid. I just want everyone to stop thinking I was paid because I wasn’t.”
