IT Leaders Push-for Stricter Email Security

Survey reveals strong support for expanding authentication rules

A new study from Easy DMARC shows that 87% of IT decision-makers advocate for stricter email authentication measures to combat phishing and spam. One year after Google and Yahoo implemented DMARC requirements for bulk senders, IT leaders are pushing for broader adoption, with DMARC usage rising to 45% from 37% last year.

The report highlights a nine-point increase in IT professionals’ confidence in phishing prevention, attributing it to growing awareness of authentication protocols. Easy DMARC CEO Gerasim Hovhannisyan emphasized the need for stricter enforcement, stating that businesses must go beyond basic implementation and adopt a ‘p=reject’ policy to protect against spoofing threats fully.
