Sebastian Stan Keeps Knocking on Chloe Zhao’s Door for a Dream Collaboration

Sebastian Stan, known for his role in The Avengers, has been emailing director Chloe Zhao "every couple of months" in the hopes of securing a spot in one of her films. The actor openly admires Zhao’s talent, calling her an “unbelievable filmmaker” and playfully admitting on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he’s persistent. “I heard she was doing a Dracula thing,” Stan joked, “so I’m just letting you know, it’s my country!”

While the Dracula project is no longer listed on Zhao's IMDb, she’s currently working on Hamnet, a historical drama about William Shakespeare and his family, featuring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley. Unfazed, Stan shared his high hopes for the future, adding that he dreams of collaborating with other visionary directors like Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, and the Safdie brothers. For now, he’ll just keep hitting “send” and waiting.
