Trump’s DEI Snitch Email Backfires

Spammed with Trolls, Not Tips

The Trump administration’s new DEI whistleblower email—meant to encourage government employees to report diversity initiatives—has become the internet’s latest prank target. Instead of gathering tips, [email protected] is being bombarded with everything from Democratic fundraising emails to the entire script of The Bee Movie. The inbox, designed to enforce Trump’s crackdown on DEI, now faces a flood of spam so relentless it may be unusable. This isn’t the first time an administration-backed snitch line has backfired.

Trump’s 2020 voter fraud hotline got buried under prank calls, and Texas’ gender marker tracking inbox was met with meme-driven chaos. Daniel Hunter, co-founder of Choose Democracy, summed it up: “Trump’s attempting to terrify and troll the entire country—and the internet knows how to handle trolls.” The White House hasn’t commented, but the message is clear: The public has turned Trump’s DEI crackdown into a joke, making it a classic case of the internet fighting back with humor, not compliance.
